Hey guys!
Long time, no talk. After a 6 month hiatus from my blog (and getting my life all figured out), I’M BACK! I hope y’all missed me. A lot has happened since my last post, which I will be talking about in another post that you can read very soon. So, in the meantime you’ll just have to read this holiday post to get a little bit of Lex.
So, not to freak you out or anything, but Christmas is only 17 days away. It’s insane to me that Christmas is almost here and the year is almost over! I feel like January was literally yesterday. And if you’re like me, you saved holiday shopping to the last minute. But, not to worry! Because I am the best gift giver ever, and I have found some super cute and fun games that you can get last minute, and they’re all under $30! (So you can stay under that Secret Santa spending limit, or not break the bank with all your gift giving). And I’ve made sure that there is something for every type of person in your life.
So take a peek at some of the gifts below, and if you need any more suggestions (or you have some you’d like to share), let me know in the comments!
Xoxo,
Lex
CHUNKY HOOP EARRING, $16
You could get your BFF one of those super trendy cheetah print skirts (like this one), but like everything else in your closet, things go out of style. Hoops never do. This chunky pair give a mod nod to the classic style, and are on the smaller side so they won't dominate your look.
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID CARD GAME, $24.99
What fun party isn’t complete wit
hout a crazy (often suggestive) card game? This is a take on Cards Against Humanity, taking the iconic Michael Scott “That’s What She Said” game to the next level. If you and your friends have a crude sense of humor like me and my friends do, this game can keep you going for hours.
PLUG-IN TV SPACE INVADERS ARCADE GAME, $26
So this isn’t super techie, but I feel like most people who are love video games. This joint stick connects to your TV, so you can play the classic Space Invaders arcade game on the big screen. You can play with a friend or by yourself, but either way you’ll be playing till the wee hours of the morning (or until you beat your high score).
100 PLACES SCRATCH OFF BUCKET LIST POSTER, $15.95
Everyone has their own bucket list. For the one whose bucket list is full of places to go, this is for them. This poster contains 100 of the top attractions/ monuments/places to visit all across the globe. And once you go, you just scratch it off the poster. There’s nothing sweeter than having more and more places checked (or scratched) off the list.
UPCYCLED RECORD COASTERS, $18
Having a good record collection is the sign of the ultimate music lover. Because there is nothing that can compare to hearing a classic song on playing off a record (except for maybe in person). These coasters are upcycled records, meaning that they’re actually cut from the center of real vinyl records. And each set includes a variety of music genres, so you get a good mix. Rock on!
PLAYFUL SPORTS MUG, $25
For the person who is obsessed with all sports and has more jerseys and sports shirts than real shirts in their closet. You know it’s going to be hard to find them something for their fave team that they don’t already have. So give them another thing they can be really competitive about. Can you get your Cheerio in a tiny hoop? Let’s find out.
BALSAM & CEDAR FOIL CANDLE, $22.40
As someone who has a roommate that is a total nester, I know the importance of creating a mood. And candles are the ultimate mood maker (and let’s be honest here, who doesn’t appreaciate a really good candle?). This one has a nice woody and evergreen smell that evokes the sense of the holidays, with a shimmering holder that will fit right into any décor.
ICE CREAM MAKER, $19.99
When it comes to stuff with wood, it’s hard to find something that they actually want/need that’s not expensive (do you know how much a standing mixer costs?). So go for something simple instead. In my opinion, everyone should eat ice cream all the time. I know I do. This will allow them to make their own flavors, and really experiment in the kitchen.
